I have been waiting to see this show since for almost 20 years, when my late mother and I would dream about seeing Criss live. She died from cancer when I was 29, and who also loved Vegas, and so seeing this show was as much about her memory as it was the experience. I bought tickets for my husband's family as a treat and hyped up the show, to be the highlight of our trip.
The magic was incredible. However, the magic was about 40% of the show. The remainder was a staggeringly long intro video about Criss' career and monologues about how incredible, great, fantastic, the best, no one better, I did this and that that no one else did, I'm the voted the best here and there, I'm friends with ... Brother, we get it. Criss seems to think we're there to revel in his presence. He also made a very poor taste 51st state joke, at a time when Canada's sovereignty and economy is at risk, thankfully to many boos and hisses from the audience. Proud Canadian here - never did I think I'd end up coming all this way to boo a man I used to admire.
Take a pass on this one folks, watch some classic Criss on YT.
