Crossroads and Westside Sunset Hike

Overview
This evening 5 mile adventure starts with an amazing overlook at Liberty Memorial, then trekking down the hill past Union Station. We weave through the culturally diverse neighborhood of the Westside. We learn about the historical West Bottoms, as well as the Pendergast era in addition to experiencing alleyways lined with street art. We get a beautiful view of the sunset from a bridge in the Westside and see a glowing KC skyline. This hike is full of Instagramable spots and hidden Kansas City gems. This won’t be a leisurely stroll in flip flops, as we go up some steep hills and staircases. You'll need good walking or running shoes and your water bottle!

Lisa led us on a fantastic 3 mile introduction to Kansas city. 2 of our group of 13 were locals, and they were amazed with how much they learned about their own city. The rest of us got a lit of insight into the history and beautiful murals around town. Well worth the time and highly recommended!

This was an incredible tour of the city. We got to see many things that were off the beaten path along with many of the big sites. I really enjoyed how the hike revealed how much public art is around the city. Lisa was an incredible guide and told us so much behind the scenes info, especially about the art. I came away really appreciating what a cool city KC is. And Lisa was amazing--she does a great job making the experience enjoyable for everyone and creating a fun atmosphere.
