We drove out from Orlando and had a wonderful experience with River Ventures, Captain John and Guide Crystal. It was so much fun to learn about the Manatees and swim along with them as they grazed the river floor. All the staff are awesome and were well organized, knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment is clean and in good condition. We even got to meet Grizzly the dog at the office (he is such a cutie). Crystal does a wonderful job taking photographs and videos. We bought the package as it was a unique souvenir. If you are looking for a fun experience and something a little different, I highly recommend taking this tour. The manatees are so gentle and really fascinating creatures. We booked the 9:15 tour and were back in time for a delicious lunch at the Seafood Seller and Cafe...right across the street in the mall. Great bowl of Gumbo! Thank you Captain John for the recommendation. Overall, a great day! Thank you River Ventures!

We swam with manatee through River Ventures. Everyone that works there is so kind and accommodating. Our tour was with Captain Wade and Guide Trisha, they were such amazing people. Had great conversations and they told us everything you could possibly know about Manatees. They were very good at their jobs to say the least, and were able to help calm my mom down, as she was a bit anxious when she first got in the water. Trisha made sure to capture amazing pictures!! Not only did we go to see manatees but they also took us to the springs which was beautiful! Overall had a great time with these two and this company, we will definitely be revisiting!

Do the early morning tours as it gets busy later with other charters. Also ask to see the Tarpon feeding by the fish shop.
