We drove from Englewood 3 hours, in the morning for the early 6.15 tour. We saw a 2 different mum and calves. Plus a mating herd. We got to swim really close to the calf as it was so playful. We were the only boat out and there were only 5 on the tour as it’s low season. But this meant we were able to see the mum and baby and we’re on our own. Really worth it. The picture the guide took were awesome too and as such we purchased the usb too. We loved it. X

We came in off season about 12.30pm. After a very warm welcome the lady in the office told us that there were no tours in the afternoon. So we decided to stay in town for a while and book the early morning tour. They were very clear about the expectations we should have, it’s off-season so expect not to se that many. Next morning we had an experience that will be hard to beat on our road trip to NYC. We saw and swam with several Manatees even one with a nursing calf at her side. Most awesome and definitely value for money!

Capt Mike and Jose' put us in with manatees right away! These guys don't go where the other groups go. You won't be competing with other groups for manatee time. They want to make sure you have an experience of a lifetime. And that's exactly what the did for us! It was a dream come true for me. So much so, that I actually cried tears of joy! The money you pay for semi private tour is worth it! Let them take all pictures and emerse yourself in the manatees world. Be present without your camera. Jose'got great pics! We had so many face to face interactions and manatee kisses and playful calves. Thanks, again to our awesome captain and guide and to River Ventures for making it all possible. We'll be back with our teens for sure! And don't forget to ask for Mike and Jose!
