What To Expect

Crystal River

Your day starts in Orlando with breakfast. Then, it's off to join a team of manatee experts for a narrated boat cruise on the picturesque Crystal River, home to one of the world's largest populations of endangered West Indian manatees. Learn how this large, harmless aquatic mammal is under threat due to loss of habitat. With your provided mask and snorkel, you are encouraged to go for a swim in an area known for manatee sightings while under the guidance of certified dive masters.

AMAZING! Thank you, JUNO, PAIGE, & TROY!!!! I was nervous about my 1st time snorkeling & swimming with manatees but wanted to have the experience with my 14 yr old son. From the moment we walked in and met Juno at the front desk, We felt like family! Juno explained what we would do and was so pleasant to talk with! After a short video & learning what to do & how to treat the manatees I felt more comfortable & excited! Our tour guides Paige & Troy were awesome! They were extremely knowledgeable about the area and where the manatees were. Troy knew exactly where to go and could tell where the manatees were just by the movement of the water. As my anxiety level rose, Paige was very calming and reassured me I could do this and she’d be right next to me the entire time. She was! From stepping down the ladder to literally holding my hand! What a BEAUTIFUL, peaceful, & incredible experience. I felt so comfortable that I was able to let go & snorkel alone. My son had an amazing time & wants to go again! Troy also took us to some area with springs and we snorkeled there too! They explained how the springs ‘work’ & also took us around the entire area and had so much knowledge about the birds, fish, history, etc which made the experience so much more. They had great snack/drinks for us too. I recommend getting pictures. Paige makes sure to get great shots! Thank you again, JUNO, PAIGE, & TROY. Hope to be back soon

Myself, my wife and my 9 year old son had an amazing time on this trip. We were picked up promptly at our selected pickup point (which we could only confirm a few days before we went!) on a lovely coach. We went to the manatee swim, which even though it's the low season with manatees we managed to see 4 of them (2 adults and 2 calves) and had an amazing time. We were then taken for lunch to this amazing little restaurant nearby which served some of the best food we have ever had whilst away. Following this we went on an airboat ride which was excellent (even through it was touch and go with the weather). I would 100% recommend this trip and company to anyone thinking about booking an excursion whilst in Florida. I will be doing this tour again (for our 3rd time) when we next visit.

Getting to see the baby manatee was awesome plus the captain and guide were spot on. The pictures they take are worth taking home.
