We offer small, private tours that focus on helping you capture better photos. Our tours take you to the most breathtaking locations across the Blue Ridge Mountains that only the locals know about. iPhone photographers are welcomed!!

We’ll work directly with you to create a custom, private tour that is perfect for you and your photography interests. Together we'll pick locations that fit your interests and your desired amount of hiking, from a couple of miles to no hiking at all. This is ideal for travelers looking to go off the beaten path. And we pick you up!

Our award-winning photographers know the Blue Ridge Mountains better than anyone else in the area! We can work to accommodate your schedule but typically this tour begins 4 hours before sunset.

J was absolutely incredible to work with and learn from. He is very knowledgeable about the area and some of the best spots. I was fortunate enough to win a giveaway that included a half day tour with him and I was overjoyed to be able to learn from someone whose work I had followed for several years on Instagram. His eye is like no other and he helps you align your eye to see nature in its best form so you can capture it for yourself! I would most definitely recommend this tour not only for beginners but experienced photographers as well! There is never too much to learn!

Me and my teenage daughter who is very much into photography took this tour so she can learn a bit more about it while we visit some beautiful places. J was an awesome guide he customized our trip to what we wanted to see, he knows a lot about the area. We saw 2 beautiful waterfalls and the most amazing sunset on top of Blue Ridge Parkway while my daughter learned a lot about photography techniques and her new camera. J is very knowledgeable about photography, he was great helping my daughter setting up her shots in all different locations. We had an amazing time, great company, he showed us so many beautiful areas along the parkway as well. Thank you J !

Had a great time with WNC photo tour's half day excursion. Flexible start/stop locations, ready to tailor the tour to your photography level and interests, and even though the weather wasn't ideal, got a lot out of the tour and improved my photography. 10/10, would book again.
