My husband and visited Oahu to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Because we only have 3 days here before we move on to another island and because itās my hubbyās first time in Hawaii, I wanted to find a private tour company to see interesting parts of the island while avoiding the tourist traps. Two monthās prior to our trip, I booked a private tour with Custom Island Adventure Tour. Our host, Elf reached out right away to get a sense of what we would like to see and where our interests lay. She was very responsive and designed an itinerary that allowed us to make the most of our time together. She was very candid about what we could and could not fit into a seven hour tour, which I immensely appreciated. We stayed in touch for the time prior to our trip and the night before, Elf called us to finalize our schedule and confirm the pickup time.
Elf arrived on time at our Waikiki and greeted us with her warm, beautiful energy. We had an amazing day! We took the scenic route to the North Shore, stopping a former sugar plantation where we sampled local coffee and amazing chocolate. Then we visited the cute little town of Haleiwa for coffee and shopping. Next we stopped at Waianae Valley, where we hiked to the Waterfall! The journey was unbelievably beautiful! We stopped for lunch at a cool little food truck park what we partook in Garlic Shrimp! Super tasty! We make a few stops at scenic overlooks and the to Byosin Temple. Before heading back to our hotel, we stopped at Leonardās for Masaladas!
All along the way, Elf educated us on local culture and shared her ā good vibesā. Elf is amazing and am so grateful an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend her company and hope our paths cross again someday!!
