I had never been to Maui and love the water, So when we booked a private chartered boat I was so excited!What could have been an incredible experience has turned into a lack luster memory with an unparalleled level of unprofessionalism namely from someone who answers the phone, Karen (not joking). We were taken out and asked where we wanted to go since none of us had been there we went with where they took us. We played music and the captain and first mate, Manu (Mon-u) danced around and Manu started filming us and taking pictures saying he would send them to us and provided his IG handle. One of the people in our party messaged him that day, but we didn't get any pictures or video. The next day we were at the golf course and Manu recognized us and drove over in a cart and said, I owe you pictures I'll send them! It's been over a week and nothing. When we called to talk to management or the owner, we were met with a degree of rudeness I have never experienced by someone who answered the phone, Karen. She said it's against company policy to take pictures of guests and Manu didn't know that and that we should have waited for him at the golf course and that he supposedly 'deleted' all pictures and video. So...It's our fault we were told by employees they would take video and pictures and we don't need to and we should wait for him after golf? We asked to speak to the owner and was told no this is on us and Karen hung up on us. A private chartered boat is expensive and we now have no video or pictures because their employee kept them only for us to be blamed for their lack of education to their employees. In addition to being told we have nothing to complain about. Not only did the captain (female) and first mate (male) Manu both leave the boat and dance together and hold hands (professional), we were told by Karen she was told we danced and were drinking and have nothing to complain about. Karen has truly lived up to the hype of her name. I can't imagine the owner, Micah is okay with this behavior of breaking policy, blaming the customers, and an employee hanging up on someone that spent $6k. I'm Hawaiian and this breaks my heart this is how this all went, when it could have been a great memory. All this when all we wanted was the pictures and video that was taken of us. #trulybummed
