Bernie was an excellent tour guide! She picked us up right on time and took us all around Ketchikan and shared a lot of stories about places and people in town. She is active in her community and taught us all about living in a fishing village. Then we visited Potlatch Park and learned about the history of the Native Alaskans and the stories that each totem pole tells. And finally we visited a salmon hatchery where we were able to see bears feeding on the salmon. It was an amazing tour, and we loved Bernie!

Great tour with Bernie! She had lots of very interesting local information to share with us. Her vehicle was clean and comfortable. We had four adults. We had a wonderful time spending our shore time with Bernie and learning about Ketchikan. We were the only ones at Potlatch Park so it truly was a private tour. Highly recommended.

Bernie was right there waiting for us when we arrived. She took us to a totem park, a waterfall and an area where black bear sometimes visit. Unfortunately, no bears showed up for us. We didnā€™t arrive in Ketchikan until 10 am and met Bernie at 11 am. Bernie shared a lot of personal experience and locations. I believe we saw all of the town there was to see. I certainly prefer the small group (four of us in our group) tour to the bus load experience.
