I highly recommend the Maui Bombers Cycle Supreme tour. Riding down Mount Haleakala is a blast. The views are gorgeous and the cycling is easy. The tour van followed us to block traffic -- there were only a handful of cars. We stopped several times for photos and a few surprises. Book the Cycle Supreme. It's 40 miles but mostly downhill. I'm a recreational biker who gets out for a handful of rides each year, at most 10 miles each time, and I found the tour very comfortable. The "roller coaster" section of the Cycle Supreme was my favorite part of the ride. There are a few hills but I found them easier to climb than the few hills in comparatively flat Chicago (really). The excellent bikes -- mine was a Trek -- and gear changing advice from Matt helped a lot. (Bikes from other tours looked like aluminum tubes with wheels and squeaky brakes). The tour staff is incredibly friendly -- it felt like a day out with friends.

This is the best tour we’ve ever done. Matt, the owner, clearly cares about quality and creating a special experience for his guests. The bikes are top notch and well maintained. Matt provides homemade coconut muffins, snacks and water through the day. A chase vehicle follows to provide safety. There are many surprises along the way and never an extra charge for lunch, pictures or videos! Don’t let the 40 mile distance intimidate you because it’s mostly downhill. It was truly an amazing day and we will book this tour again when we return to Maui.

Easily the best thing my family did in Maui. Matt was great in every aspect: Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and always in a good mood. All equipment was very nice and Matt’s home made coconut muffins were delicious. Also don’t worry about talking photos Matt takes a ton for you!! Plus during the ride he will launch his personal drone for some Hollywood level drone video of you and your family. Oh yeah and the bike ride down was breathtaking.
