As well, you'll be accompanied by a guide well-versed in the area History, Flora & Fauna and geologic formation of the Great lakes and Dune formations. Sleeping Bear is fantastic in and of itself, but having a guide to explain everything from the Native Tribes that once roamed the area, to the geologic forces that leave us with the Great Lakes we know today, greatly enhances ours guests visit to Sleeping Bear. Oh, and guests rave about our catered lunch. It's delicious!

Walking is required to access the vista at Empire Bluffs. The trail is designated as "Easy". Expect to walk 1.5 miles over a dirt and sand Trail.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

A guided tour of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Tour includes round trip transportation from Traverse City with snacks and drinks provided. Stops include an easy walk out to Empire Bluffs, Scenic Pierce Stocking Drive, Lake Michigan overlook, Glen Lke overlook, Sleeping Bear Dune overlook, Lunch on the beach in the village of Empire, Dune Climb, Historic Village of Glen Haven and Glen Arbor.

It’s was so nice!!! All of the places we went were just beautiful… our guide very knowledgeable (Matt) and very helpful. I enjoyed not having to try to find all these places ourselves!!

Stunning scenery! We highly recommend this tour. Matt, our guide, was exceptional; very friendly and a wealth of knowledge. The geological and physical history of this place is fascinating; knowledge we would not have without our fantastic tour guide. Well worth the money!!

This was an extensive, informative and very interesting tour of the entire Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, not just the Dunes. It was great. You just don't sit in the van, you get out; walk around, enjoy nature. Our guide, Matt, was great. He has extensive knowledge of the Park, both historical and the present. The day was 7 hours long, so we were able to get a full appreciation of the ecological changes that have taken place over thousands of years to how the Park is today. Highly recommended if you have the time.
