What To Expect

Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District

Located within this district is Dealey Plaza, a public park surrounding the birthplace of Dallas. It is also the site of the JFK tragedy. See the Grassy Knoll and learn details of that fateful day. Stop for a photo of the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which commemorates the site of President Kennedy’s assassination. Visit the Kennedy Memorial, a tribute to President John F. Kennedy.

West End Historic District

Known for its rich history, the West End Historic District is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Learn about the Dallas Holocaust Museum, the Old Red Courthouse & Museum, Founders Plaza and the Dallas World Aquarium.

Pioneer Plaza

Explore the spectacular Pioneer Plaza, a downtown park, which features a larger-than-life sculpture, a re-creation of a cattle drive in bronze, with Texas Longhorn Steers being driven by three skilled cowboys astride horses! Cross the stepping stones up to the top for the best views!

Giant Eyeball

This was the first private tour I have ever taken. I was hesitant at first because the price was slightly high (for my budget). I am so happy I went forward and took the tour! It was worth every penny. It actually saved me time and money in the long run because we saw so much in three hours and did not have to bother with directions, etc. Erin is lovely and I will take another tour with Discover Dallas next time I am in the area. It was also very easy to make the reservation. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. I am so happy I found this company. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Texas.

The tour was super and with only a few hours to look around Dallas and understand the city better, including some of the outlying areas and Rebecca did a great job, and was very adaptable to our needs, picking us up at the hotel and dropping us a restaurant before we headed back to Europe. It's easy to visit Dallas and just head downtown and think you've seen the city, but you certainly haven't, which is why it's always great to have a tour with all that local knowledge and certainly Rebecca did, and more!! She knows the history and the development of every building and area in Dallas, it was very impressive and clearly built on years of running her tours and ensuring her clients have a good range of knowledge and understanding of Dallas. She does the city proud and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Discover Dallas Tours - you'll get more than your money's worth!!
