We did the whale and dolphin 230pm trip and it was fantastic. My wife loves dolphins and my 6 y/o went nuts seeing all the dolphins and we got great views of feet whales up close -three different whales each nearly 50ft long. Captains and crew friendly and informative -highly recommend this outfit. Try and go when there are small swells/surf on a calm day then you will see more dolphins. The catamaran we went on also has underwater viewing pods in the front of each hull and those are very cool to see the dolphin in.

Second experience with Captain Dave's Whale Watching and Dolphin Watching - sadly this time we did not see any whales but saw several Risso's dolphins and had an amazing time!

We took the mini cruise to Catalina Island this past Sat (Oct 28) on the Manute'a and had an awesome time. Our boat was crewed by Capt Dave, Capt Marie and Capt Chuck, who were all extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun on the trip to and from Avalon. We saw lots of dolphins on the way there and dolphins and 2 humpback whales on the way back. It was a great time and Capt Dave and his crew were awesome - from the reservation, check in process and actual trip! Highly recommend them and will definitely do more trips in the future!
