Five species of wild dolphins are also seen throughout the year, including mega-pods with up to 10,000 dolphins! Plus sea lions, marine birds, and even sharks. You'll depart from Dana Point, home to one of the most diverse marine eco-systems in the world. Matt, Stacy and the captain were great! This is the third whale watching trip I've ever been on and it was fantastic. I really felt like the crew had a knack for spotting them and predicting their behavior which allowed them to get us super close and they would even give us a heads up to get the cameras ready when they were about to surface. We saw 6 whales, one of which was a baby fin whale! Loved it!

The trip was fantastic. The dolphin loved playing around the boat and seeing them in the underwater pods was breathtaking!

Captain Dave's is top notch! Whether you're going with a large group or a private charter, you will feel safe and experience the Magic of the Ocean. This time (yes, we've been several...), we chartered one of the Orca's for a private tour and it couldn't have been more special! Captain Gary, who was most passionate & knowledgeable and made us feel super safe and comfortable and it was so FUN!
