We had a fantastic time viewing 3 different types of whales and thousands of dolphins. Captain Neil and Hannah were terrific and we learned a lot about the marine animals. Their enthusiasm, passion and knowledge was extraordinary. I highly recommend this trip and we will go on another the next time we are in California.

My husband, brother, his special lady, and I went on Captain Dave's Dolphin & Whale Watching 2-1/2 hour safari. This was our first experience dolphin and whale watching in SoCal, and we were not disappointed. Captain Marie and her crew, Hannah and Kaitlin, were awesome. They found two dolphin pods, one fairly close to shore with young dolphins and their moms, and another larger pod of bottlenose dolphins further out. We saw a whole lot of dolphins, and the captain and crew gave us many details about their features, behavior, and habitats. We also saw some sea lions on the way back to the pier. The weather was picture perfect, and the whole experience was amazing! I was particularly impressed with the crew's concern when one of our group got a little seasick. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to enjoy the sea life around Dana Point.

We didn't get to see any whales, but that's really beyond their control. We did see tons of dolphins and got to be incredibly close up to them. You can stand out at the front of the boat and be just a couple feet away from the dolphins and they also have underwater viewing pods. The crew was friendly and very well-organized. Also, the entire area around Dana Point is beautiful. We were very glad we decided to do this tour.
