Five species of wild dolphins are also seen throughout the year, including mega-pods with up to 10,000 dolphins! Plus sea lions, marine birds, and even sharks. We had a wonderful trip and saw so many dolphins and 3 whales! The Mermaid crew was spectacular and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. They answered all of our questions and were very knowledgeable. The boat was clean and smooth.

Had a blast! Got to see a humpback whale and a TON of dolphins swimming with the boat. Captain Chuck and his crew were very knowledgeable about the animals. Would highly recommend this boat trip!

I've been on many whale watching safaris all over the west coast all the way up to Alaska, and I have to say that the trips I've taken with Captain Dave's Whale Watching are the best. Today 2/24/2021 we had a large Humpback come right up to the boat. Slapping that huge fin that must have been 15 foot or longer above the water. We sat there floating while the whale went under our boat. Captain Maria said we officially were mugged by a whale. The naturalist on board sent down an under water camera to take pictures. We also experienced a Dolphin stampede racing jumping out of the water to arrive as soon as possible to feed on the school of sardines that our captain found. 5 Star Safari. I recommend highly. BJ
