My wife and I are from Atlanta and were in California for our 31st Anniversary. I read all the reviews and decided on Capt. Dave's. Awesome adventure! We saw whales blowing and takes splashing, and dolphins swimming with the boat literally under our feet while standing on the front netting! Then there was the crew. They provided knowledgeable commentary at key points during the trip. But the best part for me was experiencing the crews' excitement as we watched 2 whales splashing, rolling and playing with the dolphins!! This crew goes on these adventures daily, and to feel their excitement was absolutely contagious! Capt. Dave's = "Thar she blows!"

Hi, thanks so much for including Capt. Dave’s in your anniversary celebration! It’s wonderful that we were able to help make the day special with amazing dolphin and whale sightings. We love what we do and it’s always exciting to witness these fascinating marine mammals in their own environment! I’m so glad you enjoyed it too. We appreciate the 5 stars and hope you can join us again soon!

I took our Family on this tour, hoping that we would see a whale or two. We saw nothing. We didn't even see any dolphins. Sorry but nothing for our group.

Hi Dave, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I’m so sorry you found your trip to be disappointing. I wish we could have shown you some amazing dolphins and whales during your safari last year! However, as nature is unpredictable, we never know what we will see each time. Our captains and crew locate the animals over 95% of the time – but it’s always possible that a trip will not encounter any wildlife, despite our efforts. In those cases we welcome our guests back for free within a year of the date of the no sightings trip. You still have time to take advantage of this credit! I hope we’ll see you again soon – we’d love to try again and show you the magnificent marine mammals!

We decided to go whale watching in February because the whales seem to be in the area. Captain Marie and her crew did a wonderful job of finding some gray whales that we could accompany for a short while. Every time they neared the surface of the water, we were told to keep looking in a certain direction. Sure enough, we got to see the amazing sight and were particularly pleased every time we got to see the fluke. We got just the right amount of information about marine life in general. When we neared a mom and baby gray whale, the crew made sure not to crowd them but still to give us an opportunity to see them. It was a wonderful excursion. I'm sure we will do this again.

Hi, thank you for the 5-star review! I’m thrilled that you were satisfied with the expertise and eco-friendly efforts of our Captain and crew on your recent dolphin and whale watching excursion. It’s wonderful that you were able to spend time with and learn about the migrating Gray Whales, including a calf! Thanks for coming out. I hope we’ll see you again soon.
