Captain Doreen was wonderful!! She was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience FUN!! She has personal connections all over the island and obviously loves her job! She greeted people all over the island, introducing us to Sallie Ann Robinson, Brian at the School Grounds Coffee Shop (excellent coffee and baked goods, BTW), and Brownie, shown in the photo! Her stories and historical details were fascinating! I look foward to the next time I come to HHI, when I will once again seek out a tour with Captain Doreen!!

The guide was not very interesting. Need to put some life into his narrative. Felt like reading from a book Was somewhat irritated if someone asked a question. Like interrupted his story

We are late leaving this review, but still want to share how much we enjoyed this excursion with Captain Pippi Itkor in June. My husband and our 26 year old son very much enjoyed an unfortunately shortened (our transportation fault) trip to Daufuski with Pippi. She is not only an outstanding captain, but a terrific historian with not only a clear understanding of the significant history of the area, but an equal passion for wildlife. This particular trip was the highlight of a short visit to the Savannah area, and we hope to come back to spend more time with Pippi in the future. We could not recommend this excursion more, particularly in the very good company of Captain Pippi!
