We tried to choose an excursion for every member of the family and my 14yrs daughter loves history, so I thought this was a good choice. Our captain, Doreen, was exceptional, even allowing the boat to catch sight of dolphins and accommodating requests of the like. We could feel and see the love that Doreen has for the island, its history, and current inhabitants (including Brownie, the Marsh Tacky!) and it made the tour very special to see those interactions. We will not forget this incredible experience and the spirit of the island. It has a warmth, humility, and reverence to it. I feel blessed to have experienced just a short time there.

I learned things from the trip. Wish that we saw more of the island. Would have liked a map of the island since I feel that we missed more of the island.

My family went on the Daufuskie Island Guided Tour today with Pippi and we had the best time. It was the highlight of our trip to Hilton Head. My brother and I are in our mid-twenties and parents in mid-fifties. There were kids who looked about as young as eight or nine in our group. Pippi did an excellent job of outlining the history of the land. Her compassion for the people was contagious. She also had other great Hilton Head recommendations. My next trip I will be back on another adventure with this company and I hope to bring my own family someday too to Daufuskie!
