My kids and I (teenagers and young adults) enjoyed our tour immensely. Captain Pippi shared a wealth of knowledge about the history of Daufauskie and the Gullah people. Her love for the island was evident. The boat ride there and back was also fun. I look forward to going again with my husband soon.

Captain Pipi Itkor was awesome! Very knowledgeable and entertaining! Friendly and fun! Informative and learned a lot about the history of Daufuskie. The last stop at the church was very moving. Highly recommend it! The boat ride was smooth sailing.

After dismissing a day trip to Daufuskie Island for years, thinking there was "nothing" to see, we decided to give this guided tour a shot--and are we glad we did! Captain Doreen was a treasure trove of information and she educated and entertained us the entire afternoon with fascinating history and stories of the island, its rich Gullah roots, life on the island today, and the ecosystem. Visiting Daufuskie is like stepping into a time warp, and we came away enriched by our entire experience. We highly recommend this excursion--and Doreen!
