This 4-hour Daufuskie Island trip provides a glimpse into a fascinating chapter of Lowcountry history on the undeveloped side of the island. The Daufuskee Island tour was a great experience. Captain Pete was very knowledgeable guide and provided the history of the island. . He also was great at spotting wildlife. I recommend it.

Captain Pete was great with the history, wildlife, personal stories, and answering all questions. This is not a physically strenuous experience. If you have read Pat Conroy’s books this will be a great treat visiting the schoolhouse where he taught. Many interesting memorable sidelights!!

Pete, our driver and guide, was relaxed, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. He gave thorough answers without overdoing it. Many pauses along the boat trip were to point out dolphins, pelicans, and even a bald eagle. Time was well spent on the island, not rushing, but with lots of local info and stories. Highly recommend!
