Excellent tour. Our guide, Doreen, was amazing. She knew so much about the island history and shared it in an interesting, engaging way. Weā€™d definitely do it again if we could go with her.

An absolutely wonderful afternoon with Pete B. He is not a boat captain - he is an expert historian and guide! His knowledge of the area, the island and most importantly Gullah culture is something to be heard and experienced. My wife and I love history, are fascinated by Gullah history and practices and were blown away bu the depth of his knowledge, delivered with both meaning and when appropriate, humor. I have not read Pat Conroy, my wife has, and the back and forth about this author and his experiences on the island was great. Along the way we saw bald eagles, giant white pelicans, two dolphins so close we could have touched them, cormorants, an alligator - and much much more. The island itself is interesting due to its history and the sense of isolation once there. Pete, thanks again, this was one of the best if not the best four hours we have spent in a very long time.
