The trip was an immersion into life on Defauskie. So much more than what you would expect. Pete, our boat captain was an inspiration. He proved that a tour is not a tour without the innate qualities of making any subject enjoyable and educational at the same time. Pete did that and we thank him. Pippi! She was easily our favorite part of the trip. The knowledge, passion, and excitement were all unbelievable. Also, the fact that conveniences were built in from reminders to bring snacks to nice restrooms on the private island, to the hammocks in the wooded oasis. My favorite part was the boat ride out, my wife’s was the kayaking with baby sharks, sting rays, and fish, while the kids took in the whole experience for sure.
