Captain Doreen was our favorite part of the trip. Her love for the island made us feel it in our minds and heart. We have been coming to Hilton Head for 15 years and decided to visit the island this time. What a enlightening trip. It’s like you stepped back in time but in a good way. Make sure you ask for Capt. Doreen, she was so knowledgeable and FUN.

We have been coming to HHI for 24 years and talked about going to Daufuskie Island for years. We finally decided this was the year! We are so happy we did. Captain Pete was amazing with his humor and wealth of knowledge. One of the best guided tours we have had the privilege to take. It was the perfect morning for the trip over. We were surprised (we had only seen the side of the island with the multi-million dollar homes on another excursion) at the "simple" life on the other side of the island. Would highly recommend.

I felt like we saw the “real” island. Loved seeing the school from the book “the water is wide” by Pat Conroy. Dafuskie Blues was wonderful and so very interesting. I loved seeing the house of one of Pat Conroys students who still lives there today and has a business on the island. Loved the story of the praise house as well.
