Day Tour of Plymouth and Cape Cod from Boston

Overview
Take advantage of your visit to Massachusetts by touring both Plymouth and Cape Cod combined. This tour offers scenic photo ops and points of interest spanning the period in American history from the 1600s through the 1800s. Each tour has a maximum group size of 14 to allow for a personal touch, so you can linger longer at important sites. This is a fully escorted tour. The company owner is a former history teacher and a local.
You will tour Cape Cod and the quaint Town of Sandwich, see the spectacular Cape Cod Canal and Sandwich Boardwalk. Also included is admission to the Sandwich Glass Museum, Dexter Grist Mill (seasonal), and a spectacular beach in Barnstable. In Plymouth see the Forefathers Monument, Pilgrim Hall Museum, Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II, and more. There is opportunity to walk about at a leisurely pace. We offer fixed pickup locations in Boston or we can pick you up at your hotel and drop you back off at the end of the day. Leave the driving to us!

Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center
After picking you up in Boston, your tour guide will drive south toward Cape Cod. First, you will visit the Cape Cod Canal, along with its museum and visitors center to learn about this incredible engineering feat.

Sandwich
In the beautiful town of Sandwich, we will also visit a historic bookstore and a beautiful barrier beach.

Sandwich Boardwalk
Have a leisurely walk on the recently reconstructed Sandwich Boardwalk, and breathe in the fresh Atlantic air.

Dexter’s Grist Mill
See a real grist mill for grinding maize from the 1650s. This is not a reproduction and watch a demonstration of the grinding stones producing fine corn flour.

Sandwich Glass Museum
This glass factory and museum was founded in 1825 and features beautiful handmade works by local artists.

Mayflower II
After we stop for lunch at a favorite local restaurant, discover the fascinating history of the Mayflower as we tour the Mayflower II, an accurate reconstruction of the original ship.

Plymouth Rock - Pilgrim Memorial State Park
Learn the history of the pilgrims' first arrival at Plymouth Rock--and see the rock itself. As they disembarked, they faced the massive challenge of creating a colony on unsettled land.

National Monument to the Forefathers
View the world's largest solid granite monument, dedicated in 1889 in memory of the Mayflower pilgrims. Learn more about the history of their first years in the New World.

Cape Code and Sandwich were beautiful. We enjoyed the glass museum in Sandwich. The visit of replica of the Mayflower was very educational.
