Lorna is one in a million. My wife and I (71 and 70) and our two daughters (34 and 26), and one of their partners, gathered in Washington in mid September to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. And, we hadn't been together as a family in over four years, so this was special. I wanted a tour of DC to be the "centerpiece" of the trip and I did much research looking for a tour guide. I am not sure how I discovered Lorna, but am so thankful that I did. In addition to being an inspiring guide, she is truly a kind, wonderful person. While Lorna will tailor the tour to your desire, we wanted a general overview of the National Mall. And that was excellent. We had been to Washington before but Lorna taught us so much more than we ever knew. We visited and learned about some of the memorials we knew less about-- FDR, WW II and Martin Luther King -- while visiting several other memorials. (And, yes, the Albert Einstein sculpture). One of our daughters has difficulty walking for an extended period of time, and Lorna was very accommodating to that. Beyond the tour, she was fantastic in my many conversations with me in setting things up. Perhaps the best way to summarize our experience with Lorna: she was not just our tour guide, she is now our friend ! I know that Lorna and her husband also are tour guides in Italy, and we would look forward to joining them in a tour there--and anywhere.
