Booked a group tour, but it ended up being a private tour because of last minute cancellations. Very informative, fast paced, & fun, just like NYC!

The "Life and Death in New York" tour was fantastic. My wife and I live in Brooklyn, and the guide exposed all sorts of little nooks and crannies with cemeteries, burial grounds, churches, cenotaphs, and other things we didn't even know existed in Lower Manhattan. Wow. K. Krombie has encyclopedic knowledge of the subject matter, and New York City history in general, and is funny and engaging without losing the substance. I would highly recommend this tour, and I'm looking forward to trying one of her other tours in the future.

I loved this walking tour! Krombie is the history teacher I wish I had, with encyclopedic knowledge of fascinating and bizarre stories from New York City's past up to today. Krombie keeps it creepy, from the last U.S. execution for the crime of piracy to the jail where Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide (or did he?). She is clear, engaging, and great with questions. I've lived here for 20 years yet it was almost all new to me. I've ordered and can't wait to dive into her book, Death in New York.
