Overview

This is a fully guided small group charter tour or hike to see the highlights of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and various sights via Mercedes Benz Luxury Van with a local guide. Since it's a charter, you choose from the menu of highlights you'd like to see and we do out best to maximize your time. Because the Volcano is the most popular destination, we typically try to see Rainbow Falls, Downtown Hilo, Big Island Candies, and then head up to the volcano to spend the bulk of the time in the Park. If you are interested in hiking, we can arrange the best hike in the crater area for your level, or just move from crater to crater by vehicle. If you are coming off the Pride of America or any cruise that arrives in Hilo, we can arrange in advance for meals. Variations include going as far as the Punaluu Black Sand Beach, wine tasting at the Volcano winery, or even heading all the way to South Point and tasting famous Ka'u Coffee, Macadamia Nuts and Honey.

Requires the ability to hike across lava included sometimes steep or uneven surfaces and often uphill.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults responsible for ensuring children can meet the strenuous conditions of this long hike.

Rainbow Falls

A beautiful full rainbow and giant canyon trees, plus lots on natural botanical variety

Kaumana Caves Park

Experience entering and wandering into an underground Lava Tube

Kilauea Iki Trail

Hike along the most famous trial in the park to a steaming crater floor through volcanic rain forest while taking in the natural wildlife and fauna.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

See all the major sights of the park including steam vents, devastation trail, chain of craters road, Mauna Ulu crater, and the main crater at the summit. Seeing these sights typically takes from 1-5 hours depending on whether hiking is included or not.

Volcano Winery

Do a full tasting of Hawaii's premiere wines at an authentic established winery. Award winning symphony grape wines are available for a fee

Fabulous day on an amazing tour. Mike picked us up at 9:30 and we returned home that night at 11:30. The time in between was filled with stories, laughter and lots of hiking. Mike is certified and so knowledgeable about the area and history of all the places we went. Our group was pretty adventurous and he tailored the different stops and hikes to our abilities. Even before we saw the lava lake, we saw so many amazing sights. Lunch and dinner were both great. I highly recommend this tour if you like to be out and about moving and exploring new sights. Mike is a real treasure!
