Make sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the colorful schools of fish, pods of spinner dolphins that are also commonly spotted in the bay. “Hawaii The Big Island Revealed” guide book says, “snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay near the monument is perhaps the best you will find anywhere in the state”.

My husband, twelve year old daughter and I took the Deluxe Sail & Snorkel tour with Sea Paradise. It was fabulous! Captain Kirk (yes, it IS Captain Kirk) and his crew were great—very friendly and attentive as well as knowledgeable about snorkeling, the vessel, the islands, the marine life....everything. Snorkel gear, including prescription masks, was included. Swim noodles were available if desired. A tasty breakfast of fresh fruit and pastries was served along with a build-your-own deli sandwich lunch. Soft drinks and juices to drink. No alcoholic beverages were available but that was just fine with us. We enjoyed this snorkel tour so much, we would have taken another Sea Paradise tour if we had had more time on Maui.

A great experience for the whole family. Captain Mike and his crew are super professional, friendly and helpful. Also recommended with younger children as trained lifeguards a board are drinks, snacks, sunscreen and lots of interesting information.
