Overview

This tour takes you within 6 miles of Denali's north summit (19,470 ft.) and south summit (20,320 ft.). You will enter an ancient world of rugged high mountain peaks, towering snow-capped mountains and glacier-filled valleys and explore the south and east faces of Denali. The regular flightseeing tour is 1 hour, or choose the glacier landing option for a 1.5 hour tour including a landing atop a glacier. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience you will not forget.

K2 Aviation

You will check in at the K2 Office at the Talkeetna Airport Office, from there you will depart on your flightseeing tour of Denali

Mount McKinley

This route is the foundation for all of our flightseeing tours. Fly up to 6 miles (10 km) from Denali’s summit, then descend into the awe-inspiring Ruth Amphitheater and Great Gorge. View the Tokositna and Ruth Glaciers, the sharp ridges of Mount Huntington, hanging glaciers clinging to Mount Hunter, and the famous Moose’s Tooth.

What a fantastic ride with Riley. I am afraid of heights, get motion sickness and claustrophobic. So why do it? My granddaughter said I need to face my fears. I am SO glad I did. The flight was smooth and absolutely breathtaking! We were the 1st group of the day to be able to see the peak of Denali. I am so pleased I did this!

The experience was amazing. It was a beautiful day so we got some great shots. The only thing that disappointed me was since it was called Denali experience that we would spend a few minutes near Denali but we didn’t. The pilot mentioned just a couple of times that “there’s Denali”. I was sitting in the back of the plane so with the cloud cover, by the time the plane turned around, I wasn’t sure which one was Denali so I didn’t get any photos.

This was an add on to a Viking cruise and it was the highlight of our pre cruise Denali excursion. We ended up being the only two on this flight. We had Mac in a 6 seater Cessna 185. Plenty of room👍😉. It was an hour and a half total flight and we spent about half of it circling Mt Denali on a very beautiful day. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
