Overview

This tour takes you within 6 miles of Denali's north summit (19,470 ft.) and south summit (20,320 ft.). You will enter an ancient world of rugged high mountain peaks, towering snow-capped mountains and glacier-filled valleys and explore the south and east faces of Denali. The regular flightseeing tour is 1 hour, or choose the glacier landing option for a 1.5 hour tour including a landing atop a glacier. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience you will not forget.

What To Expect

K2 Aviation

You will check in at the K2 Office at the Talkeetna Airport Office, from there you will depart on your flightseeing tour of Denali

Mount McKinley

This route is the foundation for all of our flightseeing tours. Fly up to 6 miles (10 km) from Denali’s summit, then descend into the awe-inspiring Ruth Amphitheater and Great Gorge. View the Tokositna and Ruth Glaciers, the sharp ridges of Mount Huntington, hanging glaciers clinging to Mount Hunter, and the famous Moose’s Tooth.

all we can say is simply stunning the views and narration from the pilot were fantastic. The weather stopped us landing on the glacier but that did not take from the experiance

We had the great fortune on scheduling our excursion on what the K2 Aviation people said was the best day of 2017, so far. The mountain was in full view and the winds were subdued so we were able to circle the mountain and see it and the surrounding peaks in glorious sunshine. We were able to get within 1000 feet of the mountain so it felt like you could reach out and touch it. The glaciers were amazing. We were shown the routes various climbers used to summit the mountain. This was one of those magical tours that we will remember forever.
