Catalina island was a perfect addition to our vacation in Southern California. We just visited for a few hours so we spent most of our time in Avalon. We took a bus tour of Avalon and the surrounding area and were quite impressed with our tour guide whose family has lived on the island for 8 generations. We definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you want to explore the island, which is quite hilly. Also, check before you go to make sure that you will be able to visit the Catalina Casino.

The tour was short and entertaining with general facts of the island and its history. The guide and driver were friendly and appeared to enjoy their job/ The only thing that needs to be address it the pick up location, it is incorrect!!! The pick up location is across the parking area NOT at 3rd & Catalina Ave!!! We almost missed the bus

The tour was great! Learned alot about the island and even saw a fox. Our driver (I want to say his name was Carlos) was really welcoming and did a fantastic job!
