Discover Moab in A Day: Arches, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Pt

Overview
[THREE TOUR OPTIONS AVAILABLE] Not all Moab tours are equal and this tour stands out as the most comprehensive tour of Moab's 3 parks. Peer out through the towering walls of Park Avenue, stand inside the cathedral-like Double Arch, and experience the awe of exploring inside a slot canyon at Sand Dune Arch. Then in the afternoon, lose yourself in the endlessness of the vast Dead Horse Pt and Canyonlands vistas on this well-paced, delightfully revealing tour. Travel in a small group, and out of the sun and dust in a comfortable, closed, air-conditioned vehicle and make many stops for fabulous photos. This non-bumpy, highly interactive tour takes you back in deep time (millions of years) to decipher the park's mysterious landscape of fins and arches, delicate ecology and botany of the desert and the rich cultural heritage of the area.

  • PLEASE READ: WHY WE DON'T INCLUDE PARK ENTRY INTO THE COST OF OUR TOURS We are regulated by the National Park Service. Our permit allows us to visit more places inside the parks than tours that include entry which makes this tour the most comprehensive tour of Arches and Canyonlands in Moab. If you have a park pass you're set! If you don't have one yet, a national park pass is an affordable investment into a year's worth of national park travel and it's a way to support the NPS in their mission of preserving the most beautiful places in the world for future generations. We suggest that you don't get a pass ahead of time if this is your only visit to National Parks in the next 12 months, you can pick one up on the day of the tour. Hello Qiang, our intentionally small groups (6 on your tour) are that way in order to provide the kind of experience you just described with Tom. We only fill our 12 person sightseeing vans to half capacity so that every couple has their own row, a window and so no one is ever crammed next to a stranger on our tours! Thanks for the recommendation and see you next time in Moab!

The Moab in a Day tour was included in our Amtrak vacation. Not knowing what to expect, We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Ryan, tour guide extraordinaire, and four other passengers. We were off to a good start! We were first in line at the entrance to Arches. We were fortunate to see an ice cloud rainbow that morning. Ryan expertly explained the basic geology of both parks in a manner we could all understand and remember. Plenty of stops for picture taking. Dead Horse Point was a beautiful lunch stop as well as our introduction to Canyonlands. This trip was spectacular and magical! Thank you Ryan for sharing your expertise and love of the area! Great trip. Highly recommend.

Booked this trip thru Amtrak Vacations. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised when we were picked up at our hotel at 7:00 am. Our guide and driver, Tom, arrived in a passenger van with one other couple. All of us, shall we say, were way past our teens so we were in great company. Our first destination was Arches NP. which was 1/4 mile from our hotel. At that hour we breezed right thru the entrance, after Tom presented one of our National Parks Passes. The rest of the trip was a wealth of information as to the geological events which took place in the area which created the beauty we beheld at every turn. Toms knowledge was incredible and we knew instantly that he loved his work. He was very handy with our camera phones and knew just how to pose us for great shots. Lunch was expertly presented with easy, healthy food that we could all enjoy. I mentioned my interest in Petroglyphs and Tom made that happen. He introduced us by name to the Raven pairs which claimed the various parks and pointed out many areas of interest. Do the tour, enjoy the sights and sound of this big beautiful country and tell Tom Ron and Eileen said Hello and thanks
