I am so livid over this waste of time I can hardly know where to begin. I booked this tour based on TripAdvisor. I booked ahead of time in order to plan my arrival and to be able to sort out logistics like parking etc. I arrived in Nashville late Friday evening braved downtown on a Friday night in order to double check my pickup location and parking. I get up for my tour early Saturday and discover that there is street closures and you can park and walk down to the address given for departure but no bus. We call the company and they tell us they emailed late the previous Evening that the location for pickup had changed. We ask the details and are informed that we are to meet on the steps of the County Music Hall of Fame. I ask about parking because our previous parking we planned ahead for will no longer work. They inform me parking is across the street. We arrive to find that parking is $35.00 and have no time to look for cheaper options as we were told we leave promptly. So we pay and are waiting on the step simply to find NO tour mini bus. Quite some time later and after knocking on multiple bus doors to ask and rudely informed this wasn’t our bus in the pouring rain we are finally told our bus is 230 and it should arrive shortly. It does and we get in to find most of the seats taken. We go to the back row and discover to bus is not only stifling hot it wreaks of a most disgusting foul odor. We at least could open a window but later that became and issue when the driver called me out like I was in first grade about having the window open. So we start our tour with Lee. It begins with him barely being audible but I guess that was a God send because when he was his info was more about his dislike for expensive stuff and greasy ostrich dinners and the most offensive Ancient Man humor you could imagine. Honestly most women would be offended at his style of humor as it went out in the 90’s with most privileged style jokes. I’m sure it works fine with older folks but if you are still listening to anything besides Fox News then it won’t appeal to you. But hey I could even get over all of that if the tour had actually been even fair but.... we arrived at the Ryman and were told we had about 40 minutes there which includes a long line bag check. Once you watch the movie to explain the place and it’s history we had less than 10 minutes because we were told DO NOT BE LATE. Of course some older man was and that’s when I got my window lecture as the driver called me out on the loud speaker from the front and kept calling me until I answered him directly for my sin of opening the window. If you don’t want to manage the bus when passengers are off and on then don’t drive a tour bus full of passengers that get on and off. We leave there and rush through the city with him telling about his kids and preferring to eat at McDonald’s and since he’s talking about all that he usually tells us as we already pass by what we are hoping to see from the several blocks away from most all the sights we think we are going to actually see. But honestly folks the worst was when he drove through the outer parking lot of the Parthenon and all we could see was a brownish portion of a roof through the trees. The people on the side of the bus that actually faced the attraction couldn’t even see it and actually tried to ask out loud where it was when the driver just turned and went back out on the highway. I was just in shock.... but then almost every sight actually listed on the tour wasn’t even passed by on the actual street it’s located on. That includes the entire Broadway area. The Vanderbilt University area and the Parthenon. Then we arrive back at the Country Music Hall of Fame which was multiple blocks from the area we thought we would start/end at which is the area we wanted to have lunch and sightsee after our tour. Now we did get tickets to Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame but we could have bought those and a get on and off bus tour less than the $84.00 each we spent on this tour. I’m telling you the whole thing was just a total RIP OFF waste of my time. The worst part was we finally took a car over to the Parthenon and there were streets that took you right by the front of it as it stands in a HUGE OPEN FIELD. People we could even see the building for the trees that’s how far away we drove by. There’s no excuse for that. I’ve included pictures of the street and tours same size as ours passing right by the front. That’s when I decided to put a factual review of this tour on here. As you can see I’m a long time contributor on TripAdvisor and I’ve traveled all over the world. This site if for helping people not WASTE hard earned money and time like we did on this tour. I’ll say it again so it’s clear It’s a total RIPOFF and waste of time!!!!! These pics show what part of the Parthenon we toured then the actual way it looks so you can see how ridiculous this really was. Tour booked for 9am Courtney Duncil and Christie.

First off, James was fantastic! Super knowledgeable, and a ton of fun. He probably made the tour. Getting to take a ride through the city where you know nothing and it puts some things in perspective before wondering around on your own is a huge help. To top that off getting entry into the Hall of Fame and Ryman was even better. Great tour, would highly recommend!

Thank you for your feedback on James’ fun, informative tour! With all there is to learn, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman are two places that you certainly could get lost in. Please come back and see us again soon!

We booked this tour to get an overview of Nashville and thought the admission to both the Country Music Hall of Fame & Ryman Auditorium was a bonus. The amount of time at Ryman was perfect, but we were rushed through the Country Music Hall of Fame. We could have used an extra hour. The bus ride around Nashville was also very rushed with no time for any pictures. I think this tour could be broken into 2 tours, one a bus tour of Nashville with time for a few picture stops and a 2nd tour of both museums, or add about 1-1/2 hours to this tour. Our tour guide James was interesting and funny. He had a lot of great stories.
