Our tour guide, Barry, was the best. He gave us interesting and humorous tidbits that greatly enhanced our tour. I would highly recommend this tour for your first tour of Nashville.

The tour was great--well curated and a good excursion for the price. However, there are some critiques. The driver was knowledgeable, kind and helpful, but drove entirely too fast along Hwy 40 into town--77 in a 55 is what my phone clocked. I'm from Florida, so I'm know stranger to crazy drivers, but in a large high-top bus, I found myself grabbing hold of the seat more often than not. The only other critique was the merely 45 minutes at the Ryman Auditorium, which was not enough time to get the full experience. However, would recommend if you are in a time crunch and want a good Nashville tour--Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame with drive-bys of the new Opry and Music Row.

I was concerned that this $65 tour had been a bust until I looked at the pricing. With that said, separate admission tickets to the Ryman and the Country Music Hall of Fame would be $48. So we had transportation to and from our hotel and the two venues, along with a guided tour of the city for $17. Not bad! I will say this isn’t a 3.5 hour tour. We were picked up at 8:57 and returned to our hotel at 12:05. In between, there were two bus changes and a couple other hotel stops. My husband figured our tour was about 2 3/4 hour. Still, we got an overview of the city. Our driver was knowledgeable and we went immediately to the Ryman Auditorium. I really appreciated his advice to go directly to the third floor for the movie. Our stop was timed perfectly as the movie started a few minutes after we arrived. We had about 25 minutes there. We then went around the city. We saw Broadway with all its honky tonks, the sports arenas, the Parthenon, the Capitol, the Bicentennial Mall, the recording district, the train station, and more. Our last stop was the Country Music Hall of Fame; we had about 80 minutes there. All in all, this was a pretty inexpensive way to see the city and tour a couple of its highlights. I'd hoped we’d see the Bluebird and President Polk's tomb, but maybe another trip!
