We opted to kayak without snorkeling because we had a snorkeling day planned later in vacation. This was the perfect excursion - we got to kayak, see some of the ocean, turtles, etc without getting out of the boat. There were a few opportunities to get out and swim but close to shore and totally optional. Armadillo was a great guide!

tour group on site was great - this travel service booked this trip, took our money, and even gave us "confirmation". we scheduled our week and changed plans around this early morning meeting point only to be told that Viator and the local operator did not communicate well and Viator booked us when there was not availability. what a way to waste a day in Maui

My wife and I loved our kayaking trip with Mark as our guide. Mark did a fantastic job helping us navigate the nearby reef and the west Maui waters. He even laid down some Hawaiian history in us (I had no idea Maui, Lanai and Molokai are a single land mass). We saw a couple sea turtles along with much of the nearby reef. Mark even tried to find some reef sharks for us to check out. Overall my wife and I had a great time. If you're not looking to snorkel this is a solid trip.
