All Dive Maui instructors teach scuba diving because we love to dive. Dive Maui instructors are all seasoned PADI professionals with years of teaching experience and thousands of dives under our belts.

Must be able to swim for this activity
Must be comfortable in the ocean.
Must complete PADI eLearning prior to time of dive. Refunds are not given for participants who haven't finished their online work.
Divers must be able to carry their own SCUBA gear in and out of the water
Cannot fly or go to elevation within 18 hours of this tour
Minimum age for this activity is 10 years old
All participants must fill out the PADI medical form. We do not offer refunds if your health keeps you from diving so please call us if you have any questions or concerns.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Had an awesome trip with Matt! Funny/wry sense of humor. Went out with another couple. In each couple, one partner had significant scuba experience the other had a less/none. He was very good at identifying what was comfortable for everyone in the group and gauging abilities to assist those who needed it and allowing more experienced divers a little more leeway. He also let us add on a second dive (we called ahead of time) and were SO GLAD we did it. He was extremely flexible, and both sites (the pier and Black rock) had incredible wildlife, great flexibility, and were actually pretty warm in the spring suits despite it being March! (We got a sunny day). He was very patient walking us through the PADI exercises and was really good at staying calm and guiding us on our underwater adventure! Would definitely go again with him!! Also, pending availability you can rent a GoPro for about $50 extra, which was worth it for us given the extremely good visibility. They let you keep the pics/video on the SD card

Phenomenal experience!!!! Highly recommend!! Took great of me and my son! I highly recommend doing this if you are interested in a beginner scuba experience!

My 12 year old daughter and I did a discover dive with dive master Matt. The dive far exceed our expectations. After a brief introduction we did a shore dive to an old concrete pier which has become a beautiful reef. I’m a certified diver so Matt could spend his time teaching Celia how to dive and equalize her ears. Matt said this was one of the best places to dive in Maui and we were not disappointed. We saw sharks, lots of turtles up close, a sea snake, and a wide variety of fish. This was much more than a regular discovery dive and I would highly recommend going diving with Dive Maui and Matt.
