Whenever we go to a new place with lots to see, we take a hop on hop off tour. First, we do the whole round to decide where we want to get off later. We opt for a 2 day pass for that purpose. This tour was very, very good with excellent narratives from the various drivers. It was extremely helpful as we then acclimated ourselves to St. Augustine. We left feeling that we had learned a kot. The only problem we had was at the ticket booth. We ordered our tickets on line the night before. The woman in the ticket office was quite annoyed that we had done so. Though I showed her the e-mail we received and told her how much we had paid, she insisted that we only had the trolley and one museum --- we had paid additional for the jail and store tours, but she was adamant. As the day wore on I re-read what had been sent and found that we had, indeed, purchased the whole package. We went back to the office and a nice gentleman straightened it out for us. We did take the jail and store tours and they were very much worth it.. If you have at least 2 days I recommend buying the whole package, and just hope that you will not run into the blond lady with shoulder length hair. If you do, go to a different window!

We took the Beach Bus from Anastasia Island into St Augustine each day and not only was the bus driver a great tour guide, but also the trolley drivers in Old Town St Augustine. You can get a three day pass for cheap and can hop on-hop off on any of their locations. John was our favorite Beach Bus driver.

The trolley tour was great but be careful of what you buy. I could not get enough info on trip advisor so I paid double what I should have. I would suggest booking directly with old town trolley when you are in town so they donā€™t charge for a two day pass and 3 cheesy exhibits you may not use. I do not think I will book through trip advisor again
