Distillery Tour

Overview
Join us for a one-hour guided tour of J. Rieger & Co., Kansas City’s iconic distillery, located in the historic Electric Park neighborhood of the East Bottoms district. Discover the history of our brand, from its founding during the wild and raucous years when the city boasted “the wettest block in the world”, to its premature demise at the dawn of Prohibition, and eventual revival in 2014, nearly a century later.

Enjoy extensive access to each phase of the distillation process, from grain to bottle. The tour will conclude with a tasting of our four core products led by one of our knowledgeable guides.

We had a great time on the tour. It was so fun to learn about some KC history and the history of the company. They have such a cool story. Our tour guid was great, very informative and answered all of our questions.

I 100% enjoyed my time at J. Reiger & Co.! The atmosphere is amazing, the drinks were tasty, the history was laid out beautifully and the video that started the tour had me wanting more. Not only do you get a fun, entertaining history lesson about Kansas City, the history behind J. Reiger & Co. could be make into a movie. I have and will continue to recommend the tour, event spaces and restaurant to anyone who will listen. Great job guys!

We had such a fun time doing the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. They do offer tours that include those under 21, but since all of our friends were over 21, we did the 2pm Sunday tour. I would like to go back and do a tour during operating hours to see the equipment in action. It's a beautiful facility and is filled with history. I really enjoyed look at the artifacts and photos showing the area back in its heyday! We are also going back one evening to enjoy the historic Hey Hey Club in the basement. I highly recommend this tour, or just visiting the Monogram bar upstairs, or Hey Hey Club in the basement. It's a very cool part of our KC History!
