Distillery Tour

Overview
Join us for a one-hour guided tour of J. Rieger & Co., Kansas City’s iconic distillery, located in the historic Electric Park neighborhood of the East Bottoms district. Discover the history of our brand, from its founding during the wild and raucous years when the city boasted “the wettest block in the world”, to its premature demise at the dawn of Prohibition, and eventual revival in 2014, nearly a century later.

Enjoy extensive access to each phase of the distillation process, from grain to bottle. The tour will conclude with a tasting of our four core products led by one of our knowledgeable guides.

Great fun seeing behind the scenes and learning about another wonderful place in Kansas City coming back to life❣️ Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable. She could answer all questions and added humor to the information. Everything was perfect and we stayed for a delicious brunch in their beautiful space upstairs.

We booked the distillery tour for a group of 4. We added the fourth person late and even though the tour was full they let our fourth person join. The tour was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about the history of Kansas City's alcohol industry. The tasting at the end was fun and afterwards we visited both the Hey Hey club in the basement, such a cool environment and the Monogram lounge upstairs for a drink. We ended our evening sliding down the indoor side. Would definitely recommend this tour for a group of friends/family. Will be back.
