Rented Jeep for the day. Equipment was in excellent condition and easily seats 4. Comes with a 45 min Audio tour and a notebook leading the way out of town past various sites. Some real nice photo ops and sceneries. Emerald lake is highlight. Wish audio was longer and addressed more of trip and local lore. Expect the fuel costs at end of trip at close to 4/gal Staff very nice and helpful Pack snacks

I recently went on an RCL Alaska cruise with 16 brothers/cousins/parents. We booked 4 Jeeps from DIY Jeep Tour for our day in Skagway. Lunch was included, it was OK but not great. The Jeeps were all pretty new, clean and performed well. There are a series of audio "chapters" you can listen to as you drive through town and into Canada, after some initial issues syncing the content to where we were in town, we enjoyed the stories and photo op recommendations. The drive to Emerald Lake is amazing. You see waterfalls, bears (if you're lucky..we saw 2), beautiful mountains and lakes, and even a desert in Carcross. Emerald Lake is a great spot to have lunch, even if there is only a parking lot and no facilities. If you follow the recommended route you will need your passport as it takes you through BC into Yukon in Canada. We stopped several times along the way out and back, and we still completed our trip in less than 5 hours. Our group ranged in age from 3 to 80, and everyone enjoyed the experience. This was our favorite excursion on the entire cruise.

It was supposed to be a voice guided tour, but not even 10 miles into the trip, we discovered they didn’t download all the tour folders in the iPad. With no service at all, we couldn’t download them, therefore had no idea what we were passing and seeing. To their credit, they did provide a binder with a lot of information. But, if you are the passenger, and get carsick, reading the binder is not a possibility. Besides, we paid to have a voice guided tour and didn’t get it.
