A dream experience. Awesome friendly people and guides and the dogs were amazing as well! Highly recommend to any traveler who loves dogs and adventure! Be ready to give all the pup snuggles and belly rubs- then be amazed at the athleticism of them!

I simply don’t have the words to describe how much fun I had here. The minute I arrived, I was greeted and made to feel at home. After a short orientation and safety briefing, we were off. I’m not sure who was more excited...me or the dogs. The dogs are just a bundle of energy & happiness covered in hair. Beware of their lighting fast licks as they love to give kisses . There’s a peace that you find out on the trails with the dogs that is so soothing that you can’t help but relax and soak it in. Plus, the passing scenery is mesmerizing. Don’t get me wrong, there was some effort required too. A couple of easy uphill and downhill areas. Nothing to fret about because you’ll be prepared well in advance and if I can do it, anyone can. You’ll have plenty of opportunity for pics and play out on the trails. The worst part about this experience is that it does come to an end . When I returned, I had to get pics with my dogs after I gave them water and treats. I sure didn’t want to leave as I could’ve played with the dogs and asked questions all day. Thank you so much to Matt & Liz for making this experience possible. And, special thanks to Kaci and Dane. Kaci fielded all my silly questions & made sure I had the best time on the runners! Don’t forget to pickup some souvenirs before you leave. Thank you all for making this an unforgettable experience!!!!!

My wife and I, both from the Southeastern U.S., were treated to a traditional sled dog tour as a surprise for our 20th wedding anniversary by local family in Anchorage. The entire experience cemented itself as the most enjoyable and memorable gift ever! The 17th Dog staff treated us like royalty and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The dogs were hilarious and lovable and we wanted to take them all home with us - but alas, they will live forever in our memories. I cannot recommend this adventure with enough passion. JUST DO IT! You won't be disappointed.
