The Lake View Tour is a wonderful way to get your feet wet while experiencing a helicopter flight in the Smokies. Douglas Lake covers more than 28,000 acres across three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline. This flight will carry you over the French Broad River toward Douglas Dam and up to the edge of Mountain Cove Marina. On clear days there are beautiful panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.

What To Expect

Scenic Helicopter Tours

Our Lake View flight will extend you past the French Broad River and take you out to Douglas Lake. Douglas Lake is a 33,000 acre man-made lake with over 450 miles of shoreline. This flight will get you up to 1500 feet in altitude, allowing you to get a superb view of the Great Smoky Mountains towards the South. Along the route you will see areas of farmland and quilt-like patterns of pastures. As you get closer to Douglas Lake you will fly next to Douglas Dam. On most days you are able to see the Plateau off to the Northwest that divides Tennessee and Kentucky. Includes River Ride points of interest you may see along the way: English Mountain, Boat / Jet Ski Rental Areas, Fishing / Camping and Kyker Korn Maze which is (seasonal).

I came in with a unusual situation my grands are sensory sensitive They are autistic. They have major difficulty with transitions especially on short activities Ned fun things starting and stoping. Loudness scares or startles. They said they would be able to handle it, that did and them some. Extra precautions were taken fir their comfort. This company went above and beyond. I will be returning with my family every time we vacation in this are. They allowed me to load my kids with it off even. That gave the kids a slow build up to the sounds and movement of the flight. Then landed let us get them settled for unloading at their pace. One employee said they are in the business of making smiles. That they did. I would say their fees were very reasonable for the service. Jay was our pilot he was great with the kids a well. Like I said next year I’m going to bringing my other grand kids and we are doing all again. In summary if your looking for quality this is the place. If you are unsure or have specific needs that require extra work. Give them a chance. There were no extra fees for all the extra work they did with accommodations for my family. It was just the tour cost. Thank you guys for making this an amazing trip.

This was our first time taking a scenic helicopter tour in TN. My family loved it! We only wished we had picked a longer tour. We are already talking about which tour we will do next year!
