The Lake View Tour is a wonderful way to get your feet wet while experiencing a helicopter flight in the Smokies. Douglas Lake covers more than 28,000 acres across three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline. This flight will carry you over the French Broad River toward Douglas Dam and up to the edge of Mountain Cove Marina. On clear days there are beautiful panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.

What To Expect

Scenic Helicopter Tours

Our Lake View flight will extend you past the French Broad River and take you out to Douglas Lake. Douglas Lake is a 33,000 acre man-made lake with over 450 miles of shoreline. This flight will get you up to 1500 feet in altitude, allowing you to get a superb view of the Great Smoky Mountains towards the South. Along the route you will see areas of farmland and quilt-like patterns of pastures. As you get closer to Douglas Lake you will fly next to Douglas Dam. On most days you are able to see the Plateau off to the Northwest that divides Tennessee and Kentucky. Includes River Ride points of interest you may see along the way: English Mountain, Boat / Jet Ski Rental Areas, Fishing / Camping and Kyker Korn Maze which is (seasonal).

We took our 1 and 3 year old on a flight and it was amazing!! A truly beautiful way to see the area!! They were amazing with the kids! Rasmus was our pilot and James was our boarding attendant! We will definitely be going back!!

Today was my birthday, and I had a memorable experience, with Friendly staffs, and remarkable sightseeing’s flight. Regards to covid19, they did not offer any ear protection, I suggest the disposable earplugs could be offered, those are chip and available. After hours Still I have tenting my ears.

Our family has such a great time. This was our first time on a helicopter and the pilot Raz was great. Nick are boarding attendant was very helpful and put my kids at ease. Would definitely do this again! Kids ages 10 and 17
