The Lake View Tour is a wonderful way to get your feet wet while experiencing a helicopter flight in the Smokies. Douglas Lake covers more than 28,000 acres across three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline. This flight will carry you over the French Broad River toward Douglas Dam and up to the edge of Mountain Cove Marina. On clear days there are beautiful panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.

What To Expect

Scenic Helicopter Tours

Our Lake View flight will extend you past the French Broad River and take you out to Douglas Lake. Douglas Lake is a 33,000 acre man-made lake with over 450 miles of shoreline. This flight will get you up to 1500 feet in altitude, allowing you to get a superb view of the Great Smoky Mountains towards the South. Along the route you will see areas of farmland and quilt-like patterns of pastures. As you get closer to Douglas Lake you will fly next to Douglas Dam. On most days you are able to see the Plateau off to the Northwest that divides Tennessee and Kentucky. Includes River Ride points of interest you may see along the way: English Mountain, Boat / Jet Ski Rental Areas, Fishing / Camping and Kyker Korn Maze which is (seasonal).

We did the "cheaper" ride for like 40$ a person and I was thinking it was too expensive. UNTIL I got up in the air. It is simply breath taking. Our pilot was great, the ride was beautiful and we have great memories. I highly recommend this.

I took my kids on a helicopter ride while we were in Gatlinburg and it was amazing. They loved it. The pilot Ras was very nice and showed us around.

Family of 5, youngest is 1; our boarding attendant Blaine was great, he explained everything in detail, was super friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. Our pilot John was incredible, not only a great pilot but also very knowledgeable of the areas. Overall all the staff was great and so accommodating to us. We were told to expect up to 30 min wait time with appointment in case helicopter needed fuel etc...but didn't even have to 5 min. And they take great pictures of you. The picture packages are cheap compared to other attractions and quality is perfect. Pricing for the flights are also the best I've ever found. Amazing experience, will definitely be flying with them again.
