Downtown Austin Sunset Kayak Tour with 1.5 Million Bats

Overview
Welcome to Austin's #1 Booked Experience.

This 2.5 hour kayaking trip through downtown is magical. We start by paddling the length of the Austin skyline during the golden hour, then stop to watch the sunset.

We then get into position for the best bat viewing and give a speech all about the bats just before they all fly out. We can usually time the bat flight perfectly so you have more time to explore the rest of the skyline.

On the way home, we encourage you to take your time and take a few breaks to watch the cities lights come to life when the skyscrapers turn on their lights.

This was a worthwhile experience in Austin. The Boat to Bats company is well organized. They were clear and informative with all instructions, helpful with launching, and gave us plenty of time to get to the Congress Bridge to see the bats. Once at the bridge we "barged" our kayaks together and were given an informative talk on the bats and how they live in the bridge...and then we waited to see them. On the particular Saturday night we participated there were lots of kayaks on the river as well as people lined up on the bridge and more on the shore alongside of the bridge which created an engaging environment. The icing on the cake was that the paddle back to our launching spot was beautiful in the darkening twilight.

It was fun and beautiful experience to have it gets dark fast around this time which makes you see the city lights so beautiful

This was such a fun experience! It was very laid back and gave us such a great view of the city! The guides were so kind and made sure you felt prepared to go kayaking! The view of the bats was great!
