We are really glad that we went on this walking tour through downtown Las Vegas! Our guide was really friendly and knew a lot about the history and also current goings-on in the city. He answered our many questions and was happy to tell us about everything. I really liked that he also showed us the new parts of Las Vegas that are developing right now, with a lot of local business projects going on, and many people now moving here. It was really interesting to see what the future of this part of town was going to look like! So thank you very much! We had a really good time on the tour! Alina and Mona

We went on an excellent tour with Kelly and Audrey of Las Vegas Walking Tours! This tour includes detailed information regarding the past, present, and future of downtown that will appeal to both the local and tourist. Of particular interest to us was the historical narrative of the downtown, which was the original tourist destination of the Las Vegas and predates the strip by decades. From old photos and historical anecdotes which are presented along a walk down Fremont street one gets a vivid picture of the immense changes that have occurred over the past 110 years as the downtown changed from small western train stop to the sea of lights, sounds, and motion that it is today. Importantly, the tour is also keen to point out that downtown is far more than just the Fremont Street ā€œexperienceā€ and details the success of the current revitalization efforts that have transformed the surrounding area. We have visited downtown many times as tourists and now are local residents, we feel that this tour has provided us with historical insight that will greatly complement our future visits to the area. We have stayed at the Golden Nugget several times without ever knowing that it was one of the stalwart institutions that has survived and expanded while some of the other institutions we have frequented have changed name, location, or ownership repeatedly. The tour also provides great dining suggestions along the way which will certainly be useful for after the tour, because it is definitely important to know where to get a good steak, a craft beer, or a cheap margarita. Audrey and Kelly, thank you for spending your Sunday afternoon with us educating (and getting us excited) about our new home! This is a must for everyone! Cheers, Erin and Garrett
