Neel, our guide, clearly knows and loves L.A. In the two-hour tour, we walked around the downtown area looking at many historic buildings and learned about their architectural styles as well as their histories. In some cases, especially the library, we were able to walk inside to enjoy interior features. When we reached 7th Street, Neel told us about the first restaurant to cater to local residents of the area instead of just very low-end or very high-end diners. Because of its success, other restaurants followed suit, but he said the original was still the best. So at the end of the tour, we walked the couple of blocks back to that restaurant for dinner and were glad we did.

A great tour.
Totally worth the price.
Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Not too much information or too long.
Be prepared to do some walking.
