Two very knowledgeable people, Christine and Kyle conducted the tour. My husband and I walked into the meeting place at Southernaire Market and were immediately taken by the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. Within a few minutes we were served two mouth watering sandwiches - the brisket and the Cuban - both delicious. On the way to our next food adventure, Kyle provided little know information about the Symphony and some of the new skyscrapers. Our next stop included music, hot chicken and the story of the origin of hot chicken. More history in the next two places - a successful candy business started by a family from Greece and the historical desegregation in 1960 at Woolworths lunch counter in Nashville. Ending the day at a saloon in Pirates Alley, music, local beer and fried pickles - what could be better?

What a great food tour! This was my first time visiting Nashville so of course I needed to explore the food options as well as explore downtown, and this was the perfect way to do both. The walk was perfect, the food was delicious, and our guide Christine was delightful and knowledgeable. While there were many terrific things about this tour, my favorite was how much history we learned about Nash and about the food. I was thinking about booking a history walking tour during this trip, but I didn't need to because we learned so much on the tour. Simply fantastic! I highly recommend taking this tour during your time in the city!

Michelle, thanks for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review! We are so grateful that you appreciate the history of Nashville [and you're absolutely right, there's no better way to learn about history than with great food to go along with it]! We take a lot of pride in our city too and I loved getting to share this gem of a city with you.
