Wine tasting at one of the wonderful tasting rooms in El Paseo! During COVID-19 we visit 5-6 different tasting locations (food from 6-7 local spots), which also includes 1 wine tasting room and an alcoholic beverage l at another location. Tastings and tasting locations are subject to change.

Visit the outside of the Courthouse and if there is time, The Sunken Gardens

This was a wonderful experience! Our guide, Linda, made the whole food tour interesting and took us to fun places to eat and drink. We also enjoyed learning about the history of Santa Barbara and visiting several historical sites. We all had trouble selecting our favorite food place, but Bao and McConnell's ice cream were neck and neck among the group. I would highly recommend this food tour. Thanks also to Evan Elizabeth for allowing our group flexibility with start and end time. We made it back to our cruise ship safely.

We had an amazing time on the Downtown Santa Barbara Food Tour! Nancy was an excellent tour guide, and Ken, who was shadowing Nancy, was a fantastic addition to the tour. The two were a great pair who were both so knowledgeable about the history of Santa Barbara, including the good stuff -- legend, lore, and celebrities! There were 5 of us on the tour: my group of 3 wild and fun ladies who were celebrating our 40th birthdays, and a lovely couple from Houston who were equally as fun! The size felt perfect, never crowded. The food and drinks on the tour were delicious! We started with a delicious wine tasting and charcuterie box at Grassini Family Vineyards. Then, we had street tacos with pineapple fresca. From there, we had a unique wine tasting that incorporated our sense of smell so that we could really find the different notes in the wine. After that, we had scrumptious shrimp bao at Secret Bao (my favorite food of the day). Then, we enjoyed a delightful Italian sampler and margaritas at Chase Restaurant and Lounge. We finished with dessert and tea at Lokum. Along the way, we stopped at all of the downtown landmarks. The pacing was perfect -- never rushed and never dull. We ate, we drank, we learned, and we laughed...A LOT. Nancy and Ken were so personable and made the tour tons of fun. If we were staying in Santa Barbara longer, we probably would have joined them for another day. We had the best time! Pro Tip: When they say to come to the tour hungry, they mean it! We were stuffed!
